A Templar legacy

The Templar Legacy is where Cotton Malone finally made it to print.  Steve wrote two other manuscripts introducing Malone that were never bought and remain (to this day) in a drawer, though parts of them have appeared in his other novels.  The Cotton Malone of those stories was different from the final incarnation, so maybe it was a good that it took three tries to bring him to life.  The Templar Legacy is Steve's most popular book, appearing in 40 countries around the world—over 2,000,000 books in print.  It debuted at #4 on The New York Times bestseller list.  Both the hardcover and paperback editions spent a combined 10 weeks on that list.  The hardcover was also a top 10 USA Today bestseller.  Every writer has a manuscript that finally focuses sharp attention on their work.  The Templar Legacy is Steve's breakout book.
