The Lost Order Trailer

March 29, 2017

The trailer and TV commercial for The Lost Order, is out there to see. To watch it, click here. The secret society referred to in the video is The Knights of the Golden Circle, the largest, most dangerous clandestine organization in American history. Cotton Malone and Cassiopeia Vitt are on the hunt for a treasure the knights supposedly buried in hidden caches across the country. The Smithsonian Institution, and the story of Malone’s ancestor, a Confederate spy named Angus “Cotton” Adams, also play a big role.

The Launch of The Lost Order

December 9, 2016

We have something extra-special planned for the launch of The Lost Order. A behind-the-scenes tour of the Smithsonian Castle, a building that figures prominently in the novel. On April 4th, Steve and Richard Stamm, the curator of the Castle (who is a character in the story), will lead a group of 50 people into all of the Castle’s nooks and crannies, visiting secret places the public never sees. You’ll learn how Steve wove the Castle, the Smithsonian Libraries, and the rich history of this storied institution into The Lost Order. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The event is designed as a fundraiser for the Smithsonian Libraries, so each ticket comes with a $1000 donation requirement. That gains you entrance to the tour and a signed copy of The Lost Order (which Steve will gladly personalize). The idea is to raise $50,000 for the libraries. This will be a great opportunity to interact with Steve, find out how he creates his stories, learn about a national treasure, and help the Smithsonian Libraries keep their doors open.

We recommend that, if you’re interested, act fast. These 50 slots will go quickly.

Tossing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium

September 12, 2016

Steve Berry threw the publishing world a curve—or maybe a fastball—on September 7 when he tossed out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium.  It was quite a night.  In honor of his father, Harold Earl “Sam” Berry who played professional baseball in the late 1940s and early 1950s, Steve wore a Yankees’ jersey with the number 17, the number his dad wore during his playing years. His father was there, on the field, as was his brother, Bob Berry, who played baseball for Auburn University and his nephew, Grant Berry, who currently plays baseball for Columbus State College.  And, most important, the pitch went right over the plate.  A strike.  Click here to see a video as it happened.
