Steve is constantly asked, “Are there any plans to bring Cotton Malone to the big screen?” Actually, there now are some plans, but not for a feature film, more a television series focused around Cotton Malone. Alcon Entertainment has purchased the rights to begin development. Hopefully, that effort will prove successful and you could be seeing Cotton come to life on the small screen. Fingers crossed.

Steve has been selected as one of the winners of the 2013 Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award. They are given annually and awards celebrate writers who’ve given generously to other writers, or to the broader literary community. Steve’s work through History Matters, where he’s taught the craft of writing to over 2000 students (with all of the money raised from those workshops going to historic preservation projects) earned him the honor.
